Who we are

Tasted is an iOS app made by Ciobanu LLC, based in New York, USA. This policy explains what data the app handles and what it doesn't.

What we collect — and what we don't

Tasted is built to need as little of your data as possible. We do not ask you to create an account, sign in, or give us your email address. The app has no way to identify who you are.

The meals you save, the dishes you mark as favorites, and any preferences you set live entirely on your iPhone, in Apple's local SwiftData storage. None of that data ever leaves your device, and we have no way to see, copy, or sync it.

Analytics

We use two analytics tools to understand how the app is being used in aggregate:

PostHog collects anonymous, event-level data such as which screens are opened and which buttons are tapped. It does not collect your name, email, or any information that identifies you personally.

Apple App Analytics is Apple's built-in analytics, automatically reported through App Store Connect. It is anonymous, aggregated, and controlled entirely by Apple's privacy settings on your device. You can opt out in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Both tools see device-level events only, never personal information.

In-app purchases

Tasted offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock the full app. This purchase is processed entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see your payment card, your billing address, or your Apple ID. Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard refund policy.

Children's privacy

Tasted is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has been using the app, please email us at hello@tasted.com and we will help.

Your rights

Because Tasted does not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. You can remove all of your meal data at any time by deleting the app from your iPhone — this clears the local SwiftData store completely.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the page and, where appropriate, in the app itself.
